Designing an impactful learning experience, that engages participants to collaborate and enhances the ability to transfer knowledge and skills is a key function of learning experience design.
In this program developed for trainers, facilitators and learning designers we explore how to make the learning experience one that impacts on the learners, enhancing engagement and learning transfer.
The program is a blended mode, delivered completely online through webinars and self-paced online content.
The course is structured into the following 7 levels:
- What are we trying to achieve?
Exploring performance objectives, learning outcomes and how we can meet these with impact.
- Focus on the users
A look at how user experience design / learning experience design can be used to create an impact.
- Matching to the medium
Selecting the right medium to the objectives to create a relevant learning experience.
- Let’s play a game
How gamification and game-based learning can be used to create an impactful learning experience.
- Make it an experience
A look at how experiential learning can be created, to engage and impact on learners.
- Making it social
How to encourage collaboration and social interaction in learning.
- We have a problem
A look at how problem based learning can be used in creating an impactful learning experience.
Participants in this course will gain an in-depth understanding of how to design a learning experience that has a positive impact on the learning experience of their students. Participants will be equipped with a number of tools to create the impactful learning experience.
